Lexie's Life

We have had a busy couple of days around here. We went on Sunday to the water park here in town called Breaker’s. We had so much fun. Haylee and Asher both love the water. Haylee wants so badly to swim on her own. There is a big wave pool there and she would go to the very back of it where it was really shallow, like bath water, and splash and walk around. We got to take turns going on the slides, which was so much fun. We all got nice tans, no sunburns, thank goodness!! The weather continues to amaze me. It is 108 here today, again! It is supposed to be around 104 or hotter the rest of the week. I love it though.

Last night, Tuesday, we went to see a Sidewinder’s game. The attendance was horrible, which explains why they are being sold! We had a lot of fun at the game, and Asher made it on the news! He must be pretty darn cute if he made it on the news, right?! The camera man was getting a kick out of him cause Asher was staring at him wide-eyed without blinking and I had to explain to him that every now and then, Asher falls asleep with his eyes wide open. It is a little creepy. I waved my hand in front of his face and nothing! The camera man thought it was pretty funny! So, I have been trying to get a hold of the company that can get me a copy of the news last night so he will always have a copy of him on tv, even if it is for like 5 seconds!

We have a busy couple of weeks ahead of us! Aaron’s long-time friend Josh is coming here from Las Cruces. He is the nice guy that let Aaron live with him while I was in Albuquerque with the kids. He will be here on Friday and leaving Monday. Then, his parents and brother and sisters will be here on Wednesday or Thursday and staying for the weekend. They will be going to Phoenix for a few days after that. Then at the end of the month, Tiffany’s friend Cody is coming down. He is flying out here on a Thursday and then driving with Tiffany back to Rio Rancho on Monday. It is going to be crazy. Then at the end of August, we will be going up to Green River to visit everyone up there and go to Soda Springs to see Grandma and Grandpa. I am so excited for my kids to see where I grew up, even though they aren’t going to remember it! So, there is my update for now, I am sure I will have more to update about soon! Oh yeah, Haylee is also singing Allelulia!! Not just saying it, singing it! She is such a ham! Anyways, have a great week and God Bless!

I am so sorry it has been so long since I have written!! Everything is going really great here. For those of you that don’t know, we are back in Tucson. We love it here, even in the 108 degree weather!! Let me update you all on each of us. Aaron is doing great. He just turned 23 on June 15th. We got him a puppy for his birthday. She is a boston terrier and her name is Tilly. She is adorable. He loves her, and our other dog Bear. He is busy at work still but it will calm down here soon around August. He recently traded in his Ford Focus for a Nissan Xterra. It is his favorite color, Orange! He looks so cool in it!

Haylee is doing really great! She is a little parrot! Anything you tell her to say, she will say. She is such a great big sister to Asher. She helps out with whatever she can. She gets diapers, pacifiers, gives him his toys, even lets him play with her toys!! She is talking up a storm. Aaron’s sister Tiffany is living with us for the summer and she has a purse that has Audry Hephburn on it and she taught her how to say Audry! She also has a book that has Carey Grant on it, so when she sees it, she says, “Gant!!” Tiffany’s nickname is Nonnie, so when she gets home from work, Haylee runs to her and says, MY NONNIE! It is adorable. She is doing so great. She is 20 months. I cannot believe my little girl is almost 2! She is so tiny though! She is still wearing 12 month clothes! But like the doctor says, look at her parents! She is so obedient too! Maybe a little too obedient! Aaron taught her to bite knees!! No joke! You tell her to go bite daddy’s knee and she will go nibble on it! If you ask her to give you her nose, she will go over to you and put her face in your hand! It is adorable. Her and daddy like to wrestle around, so daddy taught her how to drop some elbows!! She thinks it is so funny. She only does it playfully though! She is not a bully or anything! Everything is much better since she got really sick a while ago. Every now and then she has a bout with it where she throws up for a few days but then it goes away and she is back to the same old Haylee! She is such a blessing in our life and I don’t know what I would do without her.

Asher is now 6 months old!!! I cannot belive it. He is getting so big. On June 12th he got his first tooth! The next day he got his 2nd! They feel more like little razor blades though, not teeth. He went to the doctor the other day for his 6 month check up and he is doing fantastic! He is 25 1/4″ long, which is in the 5-10th% for his age. He weighs 13 lbs, 12 oz, which is the bottom of the 5% for his age. He is just a little guy. His doctor said to add butter or olive oil to his veggies when he eats and that will fatten him up! He is not too worried about it though. It’s the same thing he said with Haylee, look at his parents. His doctor is very suprised at one thing though, he is almost crawling! He said now days, a lot of babies are not crawling until 9 months and a lot are not even crawling at all! They are just being put in swings or carseats so they don’t get the chance to learn. He is babbling a lot too. He says “bababa” and “dada” and “mama”. It is so cute. He is such a happy baby. He is always laughing and smiling and he has a contagious laugh that makes everyone look! He has this little growl that he does to get everyones attention, so everyone at the stores has to come look at him! It is hilarious. They call Haylee Miss Congeniality because she waves at everyone and says “Bu-Bye” to everyone wherever we go!

As for me, I am doing good. I am a little tired, but I guess that is what you can expect having 2 kids under 2 right?! My migraines are FINALLY under control. I am taking a blood pressure medication as a preventative for them and it is really working! I was having up to 6 migraines a week, now I have maybe 1 every 2 weeks! It is so amazing! I can’t believe it. It really has changed my life. I am a much happier person. I just notice that I am a little sleepy. Actually, a lot sleepy! But, other than that, I am doing really great. I love being a wife and a mother. I would never trade my life in for any amount of money. I have the best husband anyone could ever ask for. He spoils me so much and he loves me and our children so much. Our children are little angels. They are so well behaved and they are so happy. I love it!
