AAAHHHHH!
Well, the hard weekend is over. I don’t think I have ever been so nervous going to one place in my life. I was shaking, sweating, had a lot of nausea, and was not up to it at all. I almost backed out of going, but knew that we had to be there for our friends. Aaron’s mom Rosie watched Haylee for us because everyone else was at work and school. It was fun for her because she got her to herself for about 3 or 4 hours. When we got to the church, we were nervous to walk in because we weren’t sure if we were going to see an open casket or a portrait of the baby, so we walked in slowly. There was no open casket or portrait of the baby. I think that they only wanted the parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles to see the baby. I think it would be hard for me to see a tiny baby like that since Haylee is so young and we are pregnant again. We saw the Grandparents of little Shaelyn Marie and said our “I’m so sorry”s. It was hard for us because we have known them for so long. Shaine wasn’t there yet, nor were Delana or Danny. We sat down, because they were getting ready to start the Rosary for the baby and her family. We weren’t really paying attention when her parents walked up to the front of the church. They were going to sit down, but they suddenly had to go be with their little girl. Aaron and I really started crying then. That was tough for us. That is the same spot in the front of the church where we got married. Danny and Delana also got married there. It was so sad. We sat down and said a Rosary, then they started the service. Instead of doing a normal mass for the dead, they did a mass for the Angels. Shaelyn didn’t have to be born into this world to suffer, she will never know pain, never have to experience sadness, anger, guilt, or be hurt by anybody. All she is ever going to know is God’s perfect love. She is such a lucky little girl. She is up in Heaven now, living with God. She is going to be a little angel for her family. She has a sibling up there with her, so their family is really blessed, they have 2 little angels up there praying for them. After the service, we loaded up a few people in our truck, including Shaine, who seemed a little shaken up. We made our way to the cemetery, the same one that we were at for Easter. Shaine’s little brother Kyle helped with the tiny little casket. He is only 6. He did a very good job. It was rough to see her parents there. They didn’t bury her while everyone was there, I believe they waited until it was just her parents there. They had a little reception at the church afterwards, so we went there so we could wait for Danny and Delana so we could pass on a little gift for them and say give our condolences. They had some food that the church provided. We talked to them for just a bit because they were trying to eat, but the only words that I can remember Delana saying to me was “Take care of those babies.” That broke my heart. If you all could keep them in your prayers, we would all really appreciate it.
We are back in Silver City. I thought Haylee had a Dr. appointment today at 11:30, so we went back to Las Cruces last night, but when I got up, I looked at the appointment card and it was on Monday. I had to reschedule, so now it will be the day before my appointment next week. That is a lot easier for us, so I guess it is all for the better. We are really tired of traveling. Next week we will be at home!! Aaron is just going to commute to Deming during that week, so Haylee and I get to be at HOME!!!! We are soooo happy. Anyways, I am going to feed my little bug-a-roo!! Have a God Filled Day!!!
